Wuthering Waves Combat Tactics

Intro and outro timing, swapping, staggered bosses, and Tactical Hologram habits for Version 3.6.

Last updated:

Most lost DPS in this game is not a missing signature weapon. It is an outro that lands after the buff expired, or a swap that clips a Heavy Attack.

Intro, outro, Concerto

Concerto fills as you fight. A full bar lets you outro into the next Resonator and grant them an Intro Skill. Supports exist to fill that bar quickly and leave. If Sanhua is still on field after her outro is ready, you are playing her as a carry by accident.

Swapping without clipping

Cancel into the swap after the hit that matters, not during the wind-up. Liberation animations that lock you on field are the ones you plan the whole rotation around. If the enemy is about to special, hold the swap for a dodge, then intro again.

Stagger and vibration

Heavy Attacks and certain Liberations shake the vibration bar. A staggered boss is free field time — dump Forte and Liberation there, not into a hyper-armor scream. Holograms teach this faster than open world.

Tactical Hologram habits

Learn one hologram's tell set on a built carry before you raise the difficulty. Bring a healer until you can no-hit the mid tiers. Qingxiao and Changli both want a clean dodge more than they want one extra Sequence.
